Exercise
By now, most of the population understands the need for physical activity in order to maximize health, physique, and well-being. Your doctor tells you that you need to exercise, but do you really know why it is extremely important for your health and not just for your physique? Maybe a deeper understanding of how the body responds to physical activity will provide the necessary motivation for you to help yourself. Navigate to the Exercise Physiology section (link to the right) to learn the physiologic reasons of exercise (e.g. increase insulin sensitivity and decrease chances of developing Type 2 Diabetes) and why your doctor tells you that it IS essential.

Many of you might want to start exercising, but don't know where to start. As much as the fitness magazines claim they have found the greatest new workout, it doesn't take an extravagant workout regime to get the results needed by most of our population. The idea is to obviously do it, but do it in a safe manner that will maximize the outcome. Our Exercise Basics section (link to the right) will help with figuring out your best fit for a workout regimen.
Finally, we will be writing articles on tips and new findings to help facilitate your new journey or to just increase your knowledge base. Those can be found to the right under recent articles. Be sure to check out past articles too.

Our goal is provide you with enough knowledge to be able to implement your own workout schedule as well as understand the reasoning behind it all. We believe that when there is a lack of motivation it is because of a disconnect from the actual importance of physical activity.
We hope you find this section educational as well as useful. We will be updating it regularly as we seem fit.
